Dr. Dan Crosswell holds the COL Richard R. Hallock Distinguished University Chair in Military History. Crosswell came to CSU in after teaching stints at Kansas State, James Madison, and universities in Singapore.

Crosswell was the winner of the US Army Historical Foundation distinguished writing award for biography in 2010. He continues work centered on, but not exclusive to, American and European military history.

Scholarly Activity

Crosswell was appointed Colonel Richard R. Hallock Distinguished University Chair in Military History in the Fall of 2011. He was also instrumental in organizing the exhibition " DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER: SOLDIER, STATESMAN, ARTIST", where he delivered the inaugural lecture "Winston Churchill & Dwight D. Eisenhower, Statesmen and Artists." with Duncan Sandys.
